LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT: FRANCIS X. ACUNZO

As Board President ot the Medical Spa Society, I am looking ahead in 2012 with the goals of serving our industry and helping to build a stronger network of information.

As with many businesses, the economy or near recession took its toll on the Medical Spa Society.  Now that our economy is beginning to heal, it is time to revitalize the Medical Spa Society and make it the preeminent trade association for medical spas and cosmetic practices.

As President, I plan to reposition the organization, broaden the membership base to include cosmetic practices and plan to include representation of these practices in both committees and board positions. In addition to expanding the board, we will be appointing chairpersons for marketing, membership and education committees to help drive the Board’s initiatives forward.

As the cosmetic medical industry has grown, it is very clear that there is a need for more business and clinical education / training. I believe that the Medical Spa Society is the organization best suited to provide this for our industry’s professionals.  I am honored that the Society believes in and values my extensive business experience in the aesthetic and spa industries. By leveraging my experience pioneering and leading other industry trade associations, we will move the MSS forward to become a major supportive avenue for its members and the industry as a whole.
